Mighty Munchkins is our first independent class for our 3 year old gymnasts. This class is designed to be a small group of children who are learning to work with their coach (without parent support).Children learn basic body positions such as a straight body, tuck, pike, and straddle, and work locomotor skills such as running, hopping, and climbing. Balance beam skills include walking forward, sideways, and backwards, kick steps, dip steps, and releve walks. Floor skills consist of log rolls, forward rolls, backward rolls, straddle rolls, donkey kicks, and balancing skills. Beginning handstand and cartwheel form is introduced. Bars skills consist of front supports, hangs (pike, straddle, tuck), pull-overs, forward rolls and casts. We also have rotations on the trampolines, tumble tracks, trapeze bar over the foam pit, and a 2 story slide for fun!
