What is AcroKids Academy?
AcroKids Academy is a state-licensed childcare program for school age children (Kindergarten through 5 th grade) inside our Friendswood and League City AcroSports complexes. We provide before and after school care during the school year as well as a full-time summer program. Our before/after school program includes transportation to and/or from select schools in Friendswood ISD, Clear Creek ISD, and Dickinson ISD. Students enjoy Open Gym playtime every day, along with arts & crafts, outside play on our numerous playground areas, games and activities in our large classrooms, and much more. We also offer our AcroKids students the opportunity to enroll in AcroSports skills classes during their childcare hours at discounted rates.
AcroKids Academy is located inside of AcroSports Gymnastics. We strive to be the BEST before/after school and summer childcare program in the area with all that we have to offer our students. Our students enjoy things like:
- Open Gym playtime every single day in our gymnastics and ninja facilities (and multiple sessions during the summer program and on all school holidays!)
- Outside playtime on our fabulous playgrounds built specifically for school-age students
- Snacks provided both morning and afternoon
- Optional extra skills classes offered in gymnastics, tumbling, ninja, and cheer at DISCOUNTED rates that are ONLY offered to AcroKids students
- Full day childcare offered on all school holidays, early release days, professional development days, and during the summer program
- Separate classrooms for each age/grade level- so kindergartners are NOT mixed with 5th graders
- Designated quiet time for homework and reading time Monday thru Thursday during the after school program
- Age-appropriate Arts & Crafts projects offered daily
- Weekly enrollment for our summer childcare program
- And more being added all the time!!
We have TWO locations to serve students in a wide geographical area. Our Friendswood location is near I-45 and FM 528 (down the street from the new CCISD Challenger Stadium), and our League City location is near 646 and Hwy 3 (down the street from Hometown Heroes Park). Both locations serve school-age students in Kindergarten through 5th grade for before and/or after school care during the school year, and we offer full time care during the summer months. *PreK children are eligible to start in our summer program the summer before they begin Kindergarten (must be turning 5 years old by Sept. 1 st ).
We know it is hard to let go of your child and trust their care to someone else. By enrolling your child in AcroKids, you know they are getting to experience freedom to have physical activity. You will see quickly that when you pick your child up each day from our program that they have had lots of fun and plenty of time to get their energy out before going home to relax and enjoy family time together.
